Hi, my name is Paul Hunter. If you’ve been looking for a solution to your sleep problem, you’ve come to the right page.

I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist, CBT Practitioner and Life Coach. For the past fifteen years, I have been helping the people of Cork City and County with insomnia problems.

When people come to see me, the typical thing I hear is “I just can not sleep at night”. When I ask a couple of more questions, it becomes apparent that most people who can’t sleep are doing the wrong things.

People who sleep really well every night have a number of habits that can be very helpful to know about:

  1. Bedtime is a time to park everything that happened during the day – good sleepers do not review the day.
  2. Good sleepers do not think about tomorrow……. at all!
  3. People who get off to sleep quickly relax their body very quickly.
  4. Those who don’t have a problem getting to sleep and staying asleep dream vividly and their dreams are so much fun and so enjoyable that they just don’t want to wake up too soon.

Reasons You Can't Sleep

Here are some of the possible reasons you can’t sleep:

  1. Overthinking – can’t stop thinking about what happened today, or what you need to do tomorrow.
  2. Stress – if there’s a lot of stress-causing relationships or situations going on in your life.

  2. You’ll have a 25 minute personalised self hypnosis recording made for you which you will listen to each night at bedtime to train you to go to sleep.
  3. In subsequent sessions we’ll deal with any issues you may have that are stopping you from sleeping.
